TRACID DPPs piloted with Mediaworld customers

EcoWise has taken a significant step in advancing digital product transparency by showcasing its TRACID Digital Product Passport (DPP) solution for Bosch dishwashers with Mediaworld customers. In the flagship Mediaworld store in Milan, Italy, customers were able to scan and compare Bosch dishwasher products using TRACID DPPs.

This initiative is part of a broader effort of EcoWise under the EU funded CircThread project, to enable Product Information Management services for manufacturers, retailers, collectors, and consumers. EcoWise is collaborating to this end with Italian organisations including BSH for its Bosch brand, ERION the largest Italian Producer Responsibility organisation, and Altroconsumo the Italian consumer organisation with over 300,000 members.

A Digital Access point for Product Customers

Through TRACID, customers can scan a QR code to view essential product data on circularity and sustainability credentials. The showcase with Mediaworld and BSH is part of a larger deployment of the DPP solution to test the use of DPP at each product life cycle stage. The initiative demonstrates how digital solutions can empower both businesses and consumers to contribute to a more resource-efficient economy.

As the pilot progresses, EcoWise is gathering insights from consumer interactions and feedback to refine the TRACID platform further. The interactions and feedbacks from consumers are essential to ensure that digital product passports become a useful and usable standard tool also for product purchasing and comparison. With the EU's push toward greater supply chain transparency, solutions like TRACID will be essential in helping businesses adapt and thrive in a more circular economy.
